Directing focus
My ADHD journey has been one of trial, error, and self-discovery. ADHD isn’t a deficit of attention, but an executive function disorder- more about directing focus rather than lacking it. I've learned that the basics - hydration, movement, and simple (modular) routines set the foundation for everything else I do. The ADHD brain craves dopamine (aka novelty) so I build structures that allow for flexibility. Time blindness is another huge challenge that requires me to create visual tools to make time, tasks, and goals more tangible. I've compiled my favorite tips and resources - you can check them out below.
